Polo in the Park is returning to Fulham this June

One of the most prestigious events is returning! Polo in the Park is back- if you love sport and a great time then get booking those tickets.

It’s back! The 3 day horsey festival is back in Fulham for its 11th summer. As the birth place of polo, apparently officials drew up the formal rules of the game there in 1875, Hurlingham Park will be hosting the international competition between Friday 9th and Sunday 11th June.

If you’ve not clocked Polo in the Park yet, then let us tell you a bit more about the festival. Broken up into differently themed days, the weekend sees several different competitions from 6 global teams take place per day:

Friday: Northern Data International Day

The England vs Ireland Polo teams will be the adrenaline-fuelled headline match of the day. Friday is pitched as the ‘perfect setting to entertain friends, family and clients or host the ultimate office summer party’.

Saturday: Ladies Day

Ladies Day is known for being a little more ‘raucous’ of the days. Lots of live music, lots of drinks and a big night at the Mahiki tent.

Sunday: Family Day

The finale day! Starting off with the famous ‘pitch invasion’, where little ones swarm the fields and a huge kids party takes place before the polo kicks off. In the afternoon the winners of the polo will be crowned in a big celebration.

The best thing? You really don’t need to be a polo-pro to enjoy the weekend. Aside from the polo itself, there is a load of things to keep you busy. It’s a proper London festival atmosphere. There will be Pimms flowing, shopping to be done from one of the market stalls and loads of family-friendly activities if you’ve got the kiddies with you too. Some of the really fun attractions we’ve heard rumours of this year include the pitch-side bars and gardens sponsored by big brands like Champagne Lanson, Fever-Tree and Guinness. Let your hair down at the legendary Mahiki tent, where there will be live music and dancing into the evening. Sheerluxe is sponsoring Ladies Day and will be bringing a carefully curated Shopping Village for the whole weekend. Of course, watching all that sport is hungry business and there will be loads of delicious food ready for you at the Fulham Food Festival.
