Battersea’s ice rink is officially OPEN

Glide at Battersea Power Station really is the place to be this winter and it is now officially OPEN. The rink is special in itself; it’s the only riverside ice rink in London (meaning you get gorgeous views over the Thames as you skate) and it is made up of three interconnecting loops that surround a very festive Christmas tree. But it’s not just the rink that is so great. There’s a lot more going on:

Its exclusive title partner will be luxury scent and candle company Jo Malone London. The Christmas campaign running throughout the festive period will be, fittingly, ‘Snow Day’, which is going to be brought to life by multiple installations and events. Between the 11th November 2022 and the 8th January 2023 there will be an on-site Jo Malone pop-up experience where you’ll be able to shop your favourite products and join in with the interactive workshops put on by the team there. Alongside Jo will be an extensive entertainment programme; Good Time Gals will be running pub quizzes and their infamous bingo sessions every Tuesday. Not your usual sleepy Tuesday night trivia, these events are rammed with interactive challenges and game show-style fun. There will also be lots more on offer in terms of live entertainment, bands, DJs and much, much more. Make sure you check out the vintage fairground- the Ferris Wheel will give you perfect views of both the rink and the Power Station, and who doesn’t love a carousel?

If you’re planning on heading down with a gaggle of friends, book out one of the 3 incredibly cute private igloos. Located right next to the rink they are the perfect spot for a pre-skate tipple. You can fit 8 people in there and with every 90min booking you’ll get a welcome drink too.
