The Shrub & Shutter is fantastic for cocktails. And what goes with cocktails? Small plates. Enter: Farrow, their new kitchen pop up.
All the way from Norwich to London, there is some delicious food landing in Brixton. Farrow is Norfolk-born chef, Daniel Farrow’s, latest venture. Having run a plant-based restaurant in Norwich, Daniel set his sights on the big smoke where he will be bringing some his impressive culinary skills to the kitchen of The Shrub & Shutter and we can’t wait.
Every Thursday, Friday and Saturday (from 5pm) Farrow will be putting out small plates of food for drinkers in Brixton’s iconic cocktail bar to nibble on whilst they sip on perfectly mixed drinks. The options are split easily into 3; meat, fish and vegetables. Each section has a selection of small plates for you to pick and choose from, and there are some pretty exciting flavours on the menu. We love the sound of the slow braised beef cheek and the manchego and honey board would be perfect with something short and strong. It’s the beer battered oysters that have really caught our eye though. They come with a horseradish cream and look like the perfect bite between rounds.
Make sure to make the most of this new kitchen residency at The Shrub & Shutter- we will race you to those oysters.
