If you’re in the market for some wholesome family fun, then the return of the spring fair at the Power Station will be music to your ears.
Between the 1st and 16th April Battersea Power Station is celebrating all things spring with the return of their spring fair. For two weeks they’re transforming into a floral haven with entertainment of all kinds for the whole family. If you are looking for a way to keep busy this April, look no further.
The ‘Giant Flower Trail’ will be one of the biggest attractions of the two weeks. This free, interactive walk will help you discover all kinds of interesting facts about flowers with an online quiz and scratch card to use whilst you walk. The trail will make for some beautiful pictures as well as giving you the opportunity to win some very exciting prizes too…
On the 7th to 9th of April some very special guests will be arriving to the Power Station. All the way from Vauxhall City Farm, alpacas, sheep, goats and more will be in the Power Station Park for you to come and say hello to all day long. Perfect for the animal lover.
As well as this, there will be an ‘illustrated playground’ in Malaysia Square where children of all ages can discover a 2D colourful playground, and add a splash of colour to the day with complimentary facepainting on the 1st-2nd and 7th-10th April. There will even be a meet and greet with the M&S icon Colin the Caterpillar! Head to the M&S Foothill on Electric Boulevard on the 7th, 8th and 10th of April for some prime photo opportunities.
The spring fair will also have some bookable events too; a grow your own lettuce with the Easter Bunny himself will be a fun way to get kids practicing their green fingers on the 1st to the 3rd April, and for the thrill seekers there are rides too; bungee trampolines will bounce off excess energy or head to the bumper cars for some old school fun.
And speaking of excess energy, on the 4th-6th,10th and 14th-16th there will be a mini sports day. Book this one in advance and join in with the egg and spoon or even a sack race! The hoola hooping classes on the 11th-13th will be a fun way to try out a new skill and get the kiddies wiggling.
If you’re after something a little lower energy, then the spring storytelling and dancing are some lovely moments to get the imagination going, available from the 11th to 16th. Or get creative and design a wooden egg cup or create an ‘egg-stravagent’ crown to take home too…
Phew! There is so much going on in the first 2 weeks of April… and that’s just the extra activities! The Power Station is a hub of fun any day of the week, from the cinema, great eateries and even crazy golf, there really is something for everyone. Check out the full schedule for the fair on the Power Station site and get ready for boredom to be a thing of the past.
