We know the August Bank Holiday might seem a little far away right now, but this is your moment to get these tickets whilst they’re hot.
It’s back! The annual musical celebration in Battersea Park is back and this year it’s promising to be bigger and better than ever before. The event will take place on the final bank holiday of the year (between 24th-26th August) and is set to be the outdoor spectacular to mark the last hurrah of summer. As in past years, classical, West End and jazz music will be the themes of each days and the programme for 2024 has been announced. Here’s who you can expect to see on the stage over the 3 days:
24th August, Proms in the Park.
Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra with special guest and host Myleene Klass.
25th August, A Night at the Musicals.
Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra, West End singers Jenna Lee James, Sharon Rose, Ricardo Afonso and Dean Chisnall, London Concert Chorus and host Cassidy Janson.
26th August, Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Orchestra.
Guest singers celebrate the “…music of Ella Fitzgerald to Stevie Wonder, Cab Calloway to Frank Sinatra, Chaka Khan and many more!”. London African Gospel Choir will bring their rendition of Paul Simon’s Graceland album plus Claire Martin OBE and Ray Gelato, Swinging at the Cotton Club and the Lindy Hop Dance Company.
It’s not just about the incredible music though. There’s more: “picnics, sing-a-longs, drinks, dancing and musical merriment” will keep you busy all Bank Holiday long. We couldn’t think of a better way to spend the last long weekend of summer.
There are a load of ticket types available: general admission, gold circle or go all out and upgrade to the diamond VIP experience which will get you the very best seats across all three days, plus access to the VIP garden which is a little haven of tipi tents, luxury bathrooms and, most importantly, your own bar. Tickets are on sale now, and they’re bound to fly off the shelves. Get them whilst you can and start getting excited about the summer to come!
