Blue Plaque To Be Unveiled Tomorrow In Commemoration Of Racial Justice Campaigner Darcus Howe
If you are wandering around Brixton tomorrow, make sure you swing by 167 Railton Rd where an iconic London blue plaque is being unveiled in commemoration of Darcus Howe.
He was a key player in anti-racist and anti-police brutality movements and had a major impact on Lord Scarman, who was then commissioned to investigate the causes of the Brixton riots.
Howe’s plaque will share its location with CLR James, the author and black historian… and also Darcus’ uncle.
