If you’re yet to make plans for your weekend, carve out an hour or two to pop down to London’s last working mill.
As part of the Lambeth Heritage Festival, the iconic Brixton Windmill will be opening for a couple of extra dates this weekend. On the 24th and 25th between 1pm and 5pm, the doors will be open to visitors. You’ll be able to learn all about the history and functionality of this historic South West London landmark, as well as exploring the building itself.
Sunday is extra exciting as it is also the Harvest Festival. This event will be completely free to enter, plus there will be live music, delicious food, and beer from just down the road at Brixton Brewery. It’s also set to be great fun for the whole family; younger ones will be able to join in with crafts, activities and workshops in baking and corn doll making too! Grab a coffee from the cafe and settle in to a full weekend of Windmill fun.
