Club Mexicana are making, as they quietly put it ‘BANGIN’ VEGAN TACOS’, and they’re doing it in their own very colourful, very bold way. They’ve got two London sites already- one in Shoreditch and the other on Carnaby Street but now they are coming South of the river by opening their 3rd restaurant in Brixton Village.
And you should be very excited about it, because this place is popular. They do amazing things with totally vegan ingredients and you can expect things like nachos (loaded with queso, ground ‘beef’, guacamole, pico de gallo, pink onions…), birria tacos, burritos and tacos with as much flavour as their meat and cheese heavy traditional counterparts. The taco flavours are really fun; BBQ short rib, to-fish and chips, even a cheezeburger one. They aren’t claiming to be authentic, but they are claiming to be really, really delicious.
They’ve recently become even more popular because they launched a brunch offering in Shoreditch on Saturdays and Sundays where you can get tacos, nachos and more classic breakfasty options like the ‘chorizo’ scramble on toast and the chick’n and waffles… washed down with a breakfast margarita of course. They’ve even made it bottomless on Sundays, so we’ve got our fingers crossed this is going to make an appearance in Brixton too.
