Deep into veganuary or not, this supper club is serving delicious plant based food. Give yourself the evening off cooking!
Daisy is perched on Balham Hill. It’s usually frequented for it’s laid back weekend brunches and it’s hearty lunch options during the week have kept many a working-from-home-er fuelled. It’s having a bit of a makeover for two nights and two nights only when, on the 25th and 26th of January, plant-based private chef Fran will be taking over the evening service with her ‘Taste of Veganuary’ supperclub.
Fran will be serving a 4 course meal of seasonal plant-based goodness at her supper clubs. You’ll get a charred corn and ve-duja arancini to whet your appetite, followed by Jerusalem artichoke with labneh, crispy garlic, preserved lemon and parsley oil. Next up is a polenta dish with mushrooms, sprouts, a charred miso onion and a delicious sounding porcini rice cracker. To finish is a hearty and warming sticky ginger cake with roasted pear and toffee sauce. Vegan or not- that sounds like a properly tasty meal.
“The menu is inspired by the very best locally-sourced seasonal British winter produce, focusing on flavour, texture, colour and innovation. Eating vegan food doesn’t need to be boring, and she hopes this menu will show you that vegan food is a lot more interesting that you might think.“
Tickets will fly for this one, snap them up fast so you don’t miss out on this plant-based feast.
