The Power Parlour is popping up in the Power Station from today until the 29th October. Head down for a 50’s style up-do.
It’s the one year anniversary of Battersea Power Station’s reopening and to celebrate they’re putting on 9 days worth of festivities. ‘Behind the Bricks’ has a schedule packed with workshops, live music, talks, tours and much more… And, of course, there’s the Power Parlour.
The Power Parlour is a 1950s inspired hair and beauty salon that will be performing transformations until the end of the month. MAC Cosmetics are taking charge of the beauty section where they’ll be reaching for those classic, striking looks and using lots and lots of that famous Ruby Woo red lipstick. Blush + Blow will be creating voluminous hair styles (which you can book in advance) and R.W. Wolf are there for any barbering needs. The brief is 50’s so visit and expect Hollywood glamour, pompadours and quiffs.
Whilst you’re in the chair why not go all in and treat yourself to a cocktail from the all-day bar at Control Room B? A Tom Collins or Singapore Sling would be time-appropriate but the drinks list at Control Room B is so tempting you won’t go wrong with any choice.
