How an old public bathroom is your hot new date spot

Tucked under Clapham Common station is WC, an intimate wine bar. As the name suggests, it is a converted old public toilet, and the nods to its former use are quirky and fun making it the perfect date night spot. We’re talking old urinals and signage as (very, very clean) features.

Bathroom talk aside, WC specialises in wine, and have some great offerings on their booze menu. From fruity reds to a new organic orange wine, they’ve got all you need to impress your date. If you are new to the wine world and are unsure just ask one of their friendly waiters who will talk you through what they have. We were recommended all kinds of juicy drinks and it was a lot of fun talking through the menu and working out what we wanted to try out.

Make sure you line your stomach as you make your way through the wines. Try out one of their delicious sharing boards, we loved the charcuterie but they’ve also got cheese and a vegan one to suit all dietary requirements. We couldn’t recommend them more!
