Sister duo Sofia and Frankie set up Naked Hare Group, a beauty salon perched on Acre Lane. But NH didn’t just feel like a beauty salon, they feel like so much more. They have a really refreshing ethos; they are ‘beauty positive’ and champion fluid beauty. Basically, they are all about making you feel as good as possible, depending on what that means to you. This quote really captures what they mean: “We recognise that beauty regimes are fluid. You do you when it comes to your body. If you wax, leave, scrub, pluck or peel we’re here to ensure your skins health is at the forefront when it comes to treatments that work for you“. They also emphasise their intention is to make you as comfortable as possible, whether that is for your 100th wax or your very first facial, they’ll make sure you get the treatment you need to feel and look your best.
The space is bright, fresh and clean- which, incidentally, is exactly how you’ll feel walking out after one of their treatments. With treatment rooms spread across two floors there’s surprising amounts of room at the salon. We headed downstairs for a cleansing facial and absolutely loved it. We were talked through exactly what the treatment would entail, and then there was a brief consultation informing us about how we could best look after our skin going forward. It wasn’t intimidating or patronising and we came away much more knowledgable than how we’d walked in… and that was before they’d started on the facial. The 60 minutes included all kinds of steps; a cleanse, exfoliation, steam, extraction, a mask and much more. But the whole thing was so relaxing it was hard to keep track.
