Who said Friday 13th had to be unlucky? Because this last minute meaty pop up in Brixton Village is anything but…
You better book in a WFH day on the 13th because meaty masters ‘The Beefsteaks’ are coming to Brixton this Friday. As the name suggests, The Beefsteaks are pro steak chefs. They currently operate at the trendy Maltby Street Market in SE1 where they serve their signature steak and chips and steak sandwhiches to hungry lunchers at the weekends, and their latest venture is over in Chapel Market, Islington, where they’ve done up an old pie and mash shop to make into their first brick and mortar site.
Their success is a result of the impressive food they put out. They are a big hit with casual foodies and serious critics alike- they’ve got the line just right between relaxed street food and creating some really delicious, perfectly cooked food. The menu is simple; steak and chips or a steak baguette. You just need to choose the sauce and that’s it: lunch sorted.
Now they’re bringing their tasty, tasty menu to Brixton Village for one day only. They’ll be operating a pop up in the Village from 12pm until they sell out… which we have a feeling they will do. You know what to do- book in an early lunch break and head for the meat.
