This is Fierce Face

We visited Fierce Face Aesthetics, a salon located in Battersea. Following the ever trusty CityMapper, I ended up in the residential streets of Battersea, where Fierce Face is located. Nope, this isn’t your generic high street salon. It is a secluded oasis in the back of Henrietta’s garden. Henrietta is one of the sister duo that make up the founders of Fierce Face, which started in 2019 just before Covid kicked off.

The location is perfect for ultimate privacy. After my facial I was feeling pretty naked from the chin up (more on that later) and I appreciated not being spat out onto a busy high street. Feirce Face are skincare experts, specialising in dermaplaning, dermapen, prescription facials, micro needling and misotherapy. You get a personalised skincare report post treatment and over lockdown they’ve been running their own door to door drop off service so you can get the products in no time at all.

So, the treatment. Despite being absolutely clueless to it, I was excited to hear I was having the dermaplaning, and then shocked at the amount of fuzz and dirt that Henrietta literally scraped off my face with a scalpel. If Henrietta
wasn’t so absolutely lovely, I’d have been terrified seeing a stranger coming at me brandishing a small blade. The whole process was completely painless (despite the removal of the top three layers of my facial skin) and incredibly satisfying. The aim is to remove all the hair and.. erm.. gunk(?) that collects on the top layers of the face, resulting in a deep clean and no hair= easy application of makeup/products. Who’d have guessed. I’ve never had a treatment before where friends have actually commented on my complexion for days afterwards. I felt chuffed. And a lot less fuzzy. Dermaplaning is the treatment I didn’t know I needed every 6-8 weeks.

The best thing about Fierce Face is how personal and personalised it is. You know you will be cherished by Henrietta and you’ll only be prescribed treatments and products that will actually work for you. It would be impossible not to go back again and again, which is why they have collected such a loyal customer base. Me included.
