Tooting’s latest addition to the curry scene

Battersea has brunch, Brixton has bars, Clapham has coffee and Tooting? Tooting has curry houses. Here’s another to add to the list.

Shree Krishna Vada Pav is moving in! Adding to the saturated curry mile of Tooting could be a daunting prospect, but SKVP are so confident in their uniqueness that they’re willing to take on the challenge to win over the hearts of their new locals. They’ve already got a solid track record too. In 2010 they opened their first site in Hounslow and since then they’ve grown and grown- there are now 10 restaurants to their name! But what kind of food can you get excited for?

The vegetarian restaurant takes its influence mainly from Mumbai, so you’ll find lots of street food style items listed on their menu. They’re especially known for their ‘vada pad’ (hence the name of the restaurant), which is a spiced and battered potato filling, served with a bap and loads of chutney. It’s a real taste of Mumbai and Shree Krishna have made it their mission to make the very best in the UK. Their prices are totally affordable too- that potatoey bap will only set you back £1.25 and it’s a pretty filling bite.

The Tooting restaurant will be the 11th in the SKVP family and will be opening on 104 Mitcham Road very soon- exact date is TBD.
