March already?! March has already got some big dates- pancake day, International Women’s day, mother’s day. Here’s what you can do to fill the gaps.
Get Disco Fever
Where: Brixton Jamm
When: 18th March, 10pm til late
Do you like Abba? Do you like Fleetwood Mac? Do you like a groovin’ party? Yes, yes, yes you do. This seems to be the night of dreams with 70’s & 80’s music pumping through the rooms of Jamm until the early hours you will be singing thank you for the music all night long.
Get artsy
Where: The Hope & Anchor, SW2 5UA
When: 2nd March
The Hope & Anchor are hosting Paint Vine, who will take you through an approx. 2 hour workshop. You’ll come out having perfected Picasso’s kiss with your work of art to take home with you. And don’t worry, no previous arty experience needed.
Go on a Bowie walking tour
Where: Meet at Brixton tube
When: 6th March
This is London’s first musical walking tour of Brixton’s star man. For 3 hours you’ll be taken around all the classic Bowie spots, accompanied with some of his classic tunes and stories of his life.
Try loads of wine
Where: Pop Brixton, SW9 8PQ
When: 1st March, 5pm
Start March with a pop and head to Pop Brixton where Gimblett Gravels will be opening up 12 of their finest 2019 vintage. Even better, it’s a free pour event! So get there STAT to make the most of those bottles!
See something at Brixton House
Where: Brixton House, SW9 8GL
When: Throughout March
Brixton House is Brixton’s newest cultural venue, and throughout March they’ve got all kinds showing for you to enjoy. Take your pick from Mugabe, My Dad & Me, The Body Remembers or Station to name a few. Show them some support in their first month!
