April is the month to soak up the spring, the blossoms and all things fresh air. But remember to pack a brolly. Just in case.
Get in the fiesta spirit
When: 10th April
Where: 1910, SW6 4RD
New Mexican vibes are hitting Fulham. 1910 Parsons Green is opening in mid-April and, if their Balham branch is anything to go on, they’ll be bringing some authentic Mexican heat to the SW this spring.
Get really in to the fiesta spirit
When: Every Thursday- Saturday, 5pm-10pm
Where: Shire Oaks, W14 9NU
Mexican is the theme of the month for Fulham! Candela Loca Mexican Nights have just arrived at Australian brunch cafe Shire Oaks on the North End Road. On Thursday to Saturday evenings, the cafe is turning into a Mexican eatery where you can find delicious food like burritos, tacos and elotes… All the benefits of Australia and Mexico in one day- without the jet lag!
Get wholesome
When: Paola teaches every Thursday at 7.15am
Where: Paola’s Bodybarre, SW6 3LQ
Invest in yourself this April and hit a reformer Pilates or barre session at Paola’s Body Barre and Reformer. We’d recommend chasing it with a wholesome smoothie or juice at Nati’s Wholefoods, where there are over 20 choices to decide from. Yep, you can be that person.
Try a ‘bagchal’
When: Anytime
Where: Hamlet’s Bakery, SW6 5RX
A what now? If you’ve not heard, a ‘bagchal’ is the brain child of brand new Hamlet’s Bakery. The bakery has made a beautiful Frankenstein by taking the classic salt beef bagel, removing the bagel and replacing the sandwich bread with challah. That’s sounding like a perfect Sunday morning breakfast to us.
Soak up springtime
When: All through April
Where: Novello Street, SW6 4AT
We know that everyone’s feeling the pinch at the moment, so why not save the pennies and do a classic Fulham side street walk to enjoy the bounty of spring. Must see spots are the colourful houses of Novello Street and the classic Fulham bricks of Bradbourne Street.
Get cultured
When: 24th April
Where: Fulham Palace House & Garden, SW6 6EA
It’s easy to overlook the places nearest you, so here’s the perfect excuse to be a tourist in your own neighbourhood. Nab a free museum ticket at Fulham Palace and join Roxanne (Fulham Palace’s ‘Collections and Conservation Officer’) on the 24th to learn all about the collection found in the historical Palace.
